Goal setting for student success

The most difficult transition in a students’ life, is the transition from middle school to high school, and from high school to college.  As students begin to discover themselves and develop into young adults, they often become unfocused and scattered. In addition, during this transitional period, parents are often lost in how to support their child. As an academic consultant, I will initially meet with the student and the family to discuss long-term goals. I will analyze the students’ personal interests, motivation and commitment to making his or her goals a reality.

When students and parents have specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely goals, the future becomes much clearer and a distinct path is paved toward success.
